Golden Gate Bridge
The Golden Gate Bridge opened in 1937 and stretches 1.7 miles across the water. Its bright "International Orange" color helps it stand out in the fog. The towers reach 746 feet above the bay. In all its years, the bridge has closed only three times because of strong winds. It was once the world’s longest suspension bridge, but now it ranks 23rd. The two main cables hold 80,000 miles of wire—enough to wrap around the Earth three times. The roadway can rise or fall by up to 16 feet to accommodate wind and traffic. An Engineering Marvel!

Overlook Trail
This short, easy connector trail branches off the main Rim Trail in Sue-meg State Park near Trinidad, California. It’s a good spot for birding, hiking, and walking, with a moderate 3.2-mile loop that features coastal views, lush forests, and gives quick access to viewpoints like Wedding Rock and Palmer's Point, which you can combine with the main loop and other side trails for a longer hike.

Stonger Headwinds
They call it "Dead Lake" because even the wind is trying to keep us from going anywhere!
